Trewern is a small village in Powys, Wales. It is situated on the A458 road, between the towns of Shrewsbury and Welshpool. Although only a small village in terms of population, there is a popular primary school with pupils travelling from miles around to attend.

The village continues to see an steady increase in its population. One main reason for this is the more competitive house prices and being ideally situated near major town's and cities such as Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Chester making commuting to work quick and easy for residents.

Trewern is also a hamlet in Cornwall near Porthcurno on the road to Minack The word Trewern is celtic, formed of "Tre" meaning dwelling and "wern" meaning marsh, thus dwelling by/near the marsh.
