Stella Maris College is a semi-private, Catholic, learning institution run by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. Located in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines, it is one of the top exclusive schools in the country. Established in 1955, it is situated in what was once an upper-middle class area of the capital city. It was once an exclusive school for girls, but, recently SMC has been accepting boys in their primary department.

Located within the serene campus is the Grotto of Our Lady, next to the Chapel of the Lilies. These, and a magnificent mural of St. Francis of Assisi in one of its buildings, remains three of the most beloved and memory-evoking spots in the mind of every alumna.

Founded by German Catholic missionary nuns, Stella Maris College is known for academic excellence and for producing well-rounded graduates. The grade school and high school departments provide rigid training in the areas of Math, English, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences. For decades now, the former college building has been home to an expanded population of high school students, which have tremendously increased the number of graduates from the high school to university level.

A great majority of high school graduates qualify and finish at least a bachelor's degree at some of the more prestigious universities in the country and overseas. Stella Maris College boasts of its share of alumnae who have made significant contributions to their little corner of the world, while being faithful to the motto: To truth, through charity.

Stella Maris Logo

The Meaning of the Stella Maris College Symbol:

* The Boat is symbolic of the believer's spiritual journey. Its Helm provides a means by which the boat of life can be steered towards Christ, with Mary as the guiding star. Hence, the reference to Our Lady as the Star of the Sea.

* The Sea is a metaphor for life, with all its wondrous joy and beauty amid all pearls.

Stella Maris Uniforms

The school uniform is patterned after the blue and white sailors costume. The high school uniform has long sleeves, white top with the blue marine collar and short sailor's tie. A series of botton connects to the blue pleated skirt. The primary school uniform is similar to the high school uniform except for the short sleeves and bow tie.
