Eudora Township is a township in Douglas County, Kansas, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 5,571.

Geography

Eudora Township covers an area of 50.28 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Eudora. According to the USGS, it contains two cemeteries: Day and Eudora.

The streams of Coleman Creek, Little Wakarusa Creek, Spring Creek and Wakarusa River run through this township.

Places of Interest

*Along County Road 1057, near K-10 on the Wakarusa River was the site of Blue Jacket’s Crossing, a crossing point for the Oregon Trail. A park at 12th & Cedar in Eudora memorializes Blue Jacket.
*Southwest of Eudora, along Winchester Road, is the Beni-Israel Cemetery. A cemetery given to the Jewish community in 1859. Many of the headstones have Hebrew characters on them.
