Great Wall China Adoption is a non-profit, HAGUE accredited [Accredited Adoption Service Providers - http://travel.state.gov/family/adoption/convention/convention_4169.html] , licensed international adoption agency. The specialty of this organization is placing orphan Chinese children with permanent families of their own in accordance with Chinese and U.S. adoption Laws.

Great Wall China Adoption headquarters is located in Austin, Texas. In addition, Great Wall has over 50 Regional Office Representatives [List of Active Regional Officers http://www.gwca.org/why_great_wall/organization/regional_offices/list] located across the United States, who organize family functions, informative workshops, and provide support at a local level to facilitate the adoption process.

The president of Great Wall China Adoption is Snow Wu. [About Snow Wu http://www.gwca.org/why_great_wall/organization/headquarters/snow_wu] In 1996, the Chinese government established the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA), prompting Snow Wu to found Great Wall China Adoption later that year. In 2003, Snow Wu was awarded the Angel in Adoption Award [List of Award Recipients http://www.ccainstitute.org/membersonly/members/Angel_in_Adoption_list_1999-2007.pdf] by the U.S. Congress for her efforts on behalf of children and families.
