Abraham Jocube-Chowdhury

Abraham Jocube-Chowdhury (born May 3, 1984) is a British actor, model and dancer. Full Name Qajar Abraham Jocube ChowdhuryJocube-Chowdhury was born and brought up in Wimbledon, London, England. He is the son of actress and writer Begum Shelley Jobeda Chowdhury and the Grandson of Qajar Qub Ud-Din Ahmed Chowdhury Zamindar Shah of Barokut Dhakadokshin. Jocube is of Bengali, Persian and Anglo Indian heritage.His credits as an actor include BBC's Days That Shook the World, Black Swan, Behind the Curtain, Josie’s, Imaginary Portrait. Television work includes modeling for FTV Asia, various commercials and poster advertising campaigns. Theatre work includes, Cherry Orchard, Greys, Land of Cards, The Real Big Adventure. He was the lead in Rabindranath Tagore's Curse Redemption which toured Asia and was praised by various national and international news papers for his performance, which then led him to work alongside Indian film legends Sharmila Tagore and Shomitro Chetterjee. He also has worked alongside actors Daniel Shor, Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and director Karan Johar.Jocub-Chowdhury was awarded the Sunrise radio award for best performer and contribution to art and culture 2004 and was third in Mr. Asia UK the same year.
