Raven Mocker

Raven Mocker

The Raven Mocker is a legendary creature from Cherokee lore. Being the most feared of all witches in Cherokee tradition, it had the power to consume a dying person's soul in order to sustain its own life. The name is presumably in reference to the creature's immortality, in that its body would never become the prey of scavenger birds such as ravens.
