Little Badger Island

Little Badger Island is a small granite island, with an area of 2.5 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of Tasmania’s Badger Island Group, lying in eastern Bass Strait just west of Flinders and Cape Barren Islands in the Furneaux Group. It is a nature reserve.

Fauna

Recorded breeding seabird and wader species include Little Penguin, Short-tailed Shearwater, White-faced Storm-Petrel, Pacific Gull, Silver Gull, Sooty Oystercatcher, Black-faced Cormorant and Caspian Tern.Brothers, Nigel; Pemberton, David; Pryor, Helen; & Halley, Vanessa.
