Galway Hooker Beer

Galway Hooker is a type of beer, an Irish Pale Ale to be precise, brewed by a microbrewery in the West of Ireland. It was created by two cousins, Aidan Murphy and Ronan Brennan, [ [http://www.masslive.com/beernut/republican/index.ssf?/base/entertainment-0/1169630490281090.xml&coll=1 Cousins' new brew a real find in Ireland- MassLive.com ] ] and is compared to the Pale Ale brewed by the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in the USA. It is made from mainly pearl and crystal malt and saaz and cascade hops. It is currently only available in Ireland, in pubs mainly in and around Galway, with selected outlets in Cork and Dublin. It is only available kegged on draught.

Brewery

Hooker Brewery is on the site of the now-defunct Emerald Brewery just outside Roscommon town. Hooker bought the building and equipment previously used by Emerald.
