Léo Edmond Marion (
March 22 ,1899 –July 16 ,1979 ), C.C., M.B.E., Ph.D., D.Sc., LL.D., D.de l'U., D.C.L., F.R.C.S., F.R.S., was a Canadianscientist .He was Vice-President of the
National Research Council of Canada . From 1964 until 1965 he was President of theRoyal Society of Canada . From 1965 until 1969, he was Dean of Faculty of Pure and Applied Science at the University of Ottawa.Honours
* In 1963 he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science from the
University of British Columbia .
* In 1965 he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science fromCarleton University .
* In 1967 he was made a Companion of theOrder of Canada .
