Susan Herndon is an American singer-songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma, labelled by "Tulsa World" as being among a group of the "region's most talented musicians". [ [http://www.tulsaworld.com/entertainment/article.aspx?articleID=20080131_8_D6_spanc58528 Tulsa World: Singers and songwriters series set at Grape Ranch ] ] In 2000, Herndon released "Quiet Cave" and had her song "The Drum" featured on NPR's All Songs Considered. In 2003, she released "In The Attic", a follow up to her previous work and in 2005 she released "Peccadillos", which consisted of two albums ("Mister Bed" and "Women and Children First") that spanned 16 songs. In 2007, she released a smaller album "1,000 Pies" which features several guest artists from Oklahoma. In relation to 1,000 Pies, when asked by an interviewer whether she considered herself a folk artist or a singer/songwriter, Herndon said she considers herself "definitely more a songwriter" and that her "songs dictate (the style)." Her music was described as being able to "deliver lyrics in manner that hits close to the heart and draws an emotional response".
