Quiggin's Tramway

Quiggin's Tramway

Quiggin's Tramway was a two foot gauge hand propelled system that operated within the timber yard at Douglas on the Isle of Man close to the railway station, on the site of today's Tesco store. When the sawmill closed and was demolished, the four-wheeled trucks were acquired by the Groudle Glen Railway who adapted them for their own use, most notably creating one bogie runner from three separate units.
