Serbian presidential election, 1992

Serbian presidential election, 1992

Presidential elections were held in the Republic of Serbia on December 20, 1992. The vote was held only two years after the previous election, as it was necessitated by the dissolution of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the establishment of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, containing Serbia and Montenegro. 6,949,150 were eligible to vote.

Slobodan Milošević won the election. With this victory, his Socialist Party of Serbia maintained control over both the presidency and the parliament of Serbia.
