NO MA'AM, or the National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood, is a fictional organization from the American sitcom "Married...with Children", founded by the show's lead character, Al Bundy.

Goal

The organization's goal is to prevent the ascent of female masterhood. While NO MA'AM wishes to prevent the rise of women, the very ideals they stand for (beer, bikinis, and eating) often prevent them from doing much else besides drinking, reading "Big'Uns" magazines, and gorging themselves on snack food. The few actual meetings of NO MA'AM that are shown typically involve getting drunk, initiating new members, and complaining about their wives.

NO MA'AM was first featured in the show's eighth season, on November 14, 1993, in an episode titled "NO MA'AM" (episode #0809). When Al Bundy and friends formed NO MA'AM and took over the show Jerry Springer: The Masculine Feminist.

The Ten Commandments of NO MA'AM were made up by Al Bundy who said they came from Ironhead Haynes in the show's eighth season, on May 1, 1994, in the episode titled "Legend of Ironhead Haynes" (episode #0823). When Al read The Ten Commandments to his NO MA'AM cohorts it was brought to his attention that there where only Nine Commandments, they are:
#It is OK to call hooters 'knockers' and sometimes snack trays
#It is wrong to be French
#It is OK to put all bad people in a giant meat grinder
#Lawyers, see rule three
#It is OK to drive a gas-guzzler if it helps you get babes
#Everyone should car pool except us
#Bring back the word stewardesses
#Synchronized swimming is not a sport
#Mud wrestling is a sport

Membership

Jefferson is a member, but his dependency on Marcy for money, prompts him to wear a "YES MA'AM" T-shirt under his normal uniform that he will unveil whenever she busts one of their schemes to instantly save face in front of her. Officer Dan is a member, although much of their more ambitious activities are illegal - he thus plays either side of the law on separate occasions.

The third and final challenge of the NO MA'AM initiation process (featured in "A Man for No Seasons") included Griff, wearing a "Man in Training" T-shirt and propeller beanie, being trapped in a small room and forced to watch a two-hour videotape of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman". The first two challenges included the "purchasing of panty shields in broad daylight," and "attending a Julio concert in wig and matching ensemble."

In "Flight of the Bumblebee", Bud Bundy tries to join the NO MA'AM but instead of having to face the three challenges mentioned above he had to appear in a photo with professional wrestler King Kong Bundy. A member asks if Al and King Kong are related but Al says King Kong just borrowed Peggy's Mom's nickname. Bud succeeds but didn't become a member anyway.
