Hisao Shinagawa

Hisao Shinagawa (born 1946) is a Japanese-born songwriter and performer who lives in Los Angeles, California [ [http://homepage.mac.com/norimutsu/hisao/2222.html Japanese bio] ] .

Director Masahiro Sugano's 1997 short film HISAO documented Shinagawa's daily life [ [http://www.asianamericanfilm.com/faves/pak.html Greg Pak's Favs] ] . The short was nominated for a several awards, including a Student Academy Award and IFC2000 [ [http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117480523.html?categoryid=13&cs=1 Future Fellinis, Variety] ] .

In 2008, Pathfinder Pictures will officially release I Want to Destroy America, Peter I. Chang's full-length documentary about Shinagawa's life [ [http://www.redroom.com/author/mitch-cullin/bio Mitch Cullin's bio with doc. reference] ] .
