Scottsdale Reserve

Scottsdale Reserve

Scottsdale Reserve is a 1328-hectare nature reserve on the Murrumbidgee River in south-central New South Wales, Australia. It is 79 km south of Canberra, and 4 km north of Bredbo. It is owned and managed by Bush Heritage Australia (BHA), which purchased it in 2006.

Landscape and vegetation

Scottsdale is a former grazing property vegetated with temperate grasslands and grassy woodlands dominated by "Eucalyptus melliodora" (Yellow Box) and "Eucalyptus blakelyi" (Blakely's Red Gum). There are also remnant spring and bog communities. Four kilometres of the property’s northern and western boundaries are formed by the Murrumbidgee River.
