Tanner De Witt has grown rapidly since it was founded in 1999 by Richard Tanner and its managing partner Ian De Witt to become one of the most highly regarded law firms in Hong Kong. Tanner De Witt provide legal services to charities, including acting for Amnesty International Hong Kong in securing an employment visa for the human rights organisation's director in 2006. The firm has also supported the work of Domestic and Migrant Workers, a charitable body established to assist those from overseas who work in Hong Kong, and Enlighten Hong Kong, a charitable organisation whose mission is to widen opportunities and choices for people affected by epilepsy and to raise awareness of epilepsy issues in all sectors of the community.
