Scott Alan Stenzel is an American race car driver born on
28 July 1980 inMankato, Minnesota . He lived eight years of his life inWells, Minnesota then moved toAlexandria, Minnesota after his father was transferred positions in theUnited States Postal Service . Stenzel's parent's property was next to a home made race track that was owned by Ron Fischer. He became friends with Ron's son Josh and started to turn laps. They raced together in karts, 4wheelers, stock cars and even dirt bikes. Growing up Scott entered into FASCAR racing series at 16 years old. He raced enduro super stocks on the weekends at the local speedways. These races were 250 laps long and lasted all Sunday afternoon. He raced at I-94 Speedway inSauk Center, Minnesota and Fergus Falls Speedway inFergus Falls, Minnesota . These two tracks were 5/8 mile long and allowed Stenzel to gain seat time.In 1999 Stenzel sold all his racing gear to attend college at
North Dakota State University and then transferred toFull Sail Real World Education inOrlando, Florida . After graduation Stenzel opened up a production company in 2003 called Digi Craft. He services clients likeUniversal Orlando Resort ,Disney Adventures Magazine,Indianapolis Motor Speedway ,National Retail Federation and many more. Through his many years in production his racing passion never lifted. He met Charlie Patterson, owner of Nex-Gen Motorsports and retired owner of Patterson Drive Shafts, at the 2006Daytona 500 and since then his career began to take off. Patterson worked with Stenzel to jump start his career at the professional level. “My main goal is to find as many young, intelligent drivers, who can get the job done. I believe that Scott has what it takes to make it big inMotorsports . When I look at Scott I see the nextJimmie Johnson , he really is a sponsor’s dream. ARCA RE/MAX Series debut at theDaytona International Speedway test on 14-16 December 2007. He posted a speed of 50.599 seconds at 179.105 MPH which placed him 13 of 64 drivers on the first day ofARCA RE/MAX single car runs. Posting a total of 40 laps he was granted permission to participate in all of the 2008ARCA RE/MAX events as well as given his official license. On 11-12 December 2007 Stenzel attended Finish Line Racing School headed up by Mike Loescher. He graduated the class with flying colors and Loesher approved him ready for
ARCA RE/MAX contention.
