1,1-Difluoroethane, also called simply difluoroethane, R-152a, or HFC-152a, is a chemical compound composed of carbon, hydrogen, and fluorine. Its molecular formula is C2H4F2.

At standard temperature and pressure, it is a colorless gas. It is classified as a halogenated aliphatic. In use as a refrigerant, it has a low global warming potential, and has recently been approved for use in automobile applications as an alternative to R-134a.
