Sjeng Kerbusch

Sjeng Kerbusch (1947 - March 1, 1991) was a Dutch behavior geneticist.

A native of Maastricht, he obtained his Ph.D. from the Catholic University Nijmegen in 1974 [J.M.L. Kerbusch, 1974. "Genetic analysis of exploratory behaviour, simple learning behaviour and cerebral AChE and ChE activities in mice by means of the diallel method." Ph.D. thesis, Catholic University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands, 63+32 pp.] as the third Dutchman in this field. [W.E. Crusio, 1991. Obituary Sjeng Kerbusch (1947-1991). "Behavior Genetics" 21(5):431-432.] From 1984-1987, he was President of the Dutch Behavior Genetics Contact Group and in 1988 he was local host for the 18th Annual Meeting of the Behavior Genetics Association held in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Kerbusch died at Nijmegen from complications after a lung transplant.
