Episode recap

Jon learns of his ancestor, an evil pirate named Long Jon Arbuckle. Thanks to Odie's slobber reacting to some invisible ink in Long Jon's diary, they learn that Long Jon was really a spy for George Washington. But can they prove this to the angry mob trying to run Jon out of town?

* Long Jon Arbuckle's name is based on Long John Silver, a main character in Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.

* When Odie turns the pages of the diary and slurps them, some of them already contain visible writing.
