John Kirk Davis (born January 5, 1963 St Luke’s Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago, Illinois)to Millard and Sharon Davis, is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher. He played during four seasons at the major league level for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and San Diego Padres. He was drafted by the Royals in the 7th round of the by|1981 amateur draft. Davis played his first professional season with their Rookie league Gulf Coast Royals in by|1981, and his last season with the White Sox's Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds, in by|1995.

History: John grew up in Elmhurst Ill.. 1976 moving to Pueblo Colorado where he attended Pueblo Centennial High School. He played on the High school baseball team in the outfield and as a pitcher. Played on the Basketball team undefeated senior year 1981. Lost state tourn. game by 1 point.Drafted 7th round 1981 by the KC Royals, traded to White Sox 1988, San Diego 1990, back to the White Sox 1995 minor leagues.He attended Cal State Northridge, USC, SDSU and UCLA while playing for the White Sox. Royals, Padres.

Father Millard Davis played for the St. Louis Hawks Basketball team in the late 50’s.and went to Memphis State University on a basketball scholarship.

John married Misty Dean on 1/10/1988 and has 3 children Misty graduated from San Diego State Univ. 1988Austin : Freshman Cal Poly San Luis ObispoTyler : 8th grade Palm Desert CA.Cole : 5th grade Palm Desert CA.
