Brookdale Community College is an accredited, coeducational, public community college in Lincroft, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Since its inception in 1967, Brookdale Community College has offered access to quality education throughout Monmouth County. It has secondary campuses in Neptune, Freehold Township, Hazlet, Long Branch, Sandy Hook and Wall Township. The College operates through the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders through an appointed Board of Trustees that sets policies, tuition and fees and monitors education programs.

Lincroft campus

The Lincroft campus comprises 22 buildings totaling 731,353 square feet, including the Center for the Visual Arts, the Bankier Library, the Center for World War II Studies and the Donald D. Warner Student Life Center.

High Technology High School, a magnet school for students from Monmouth County, is located near the eastern edge of the Lincroft Campus [http://www.hths.mcvsd.org] . It is operated by the Monmouth County Vocational School District.

The Lincroft campus is also home to the Monmouth Museum, the 360-seat Brookdale Performing Arts Center and Brookdale Public Radio, "90.5 The Night" (WBJB-FM). Both the Performing Arts Center and 90.5 The Night serve the Brookdale and Monmouth County community with shows, performances, National Public Radio, and rock music.

Curriculum

The college offers over 60 different two-year degree programs and a variety of degree certificates. Additionally, the college through its Business and Community Development and SCOPE initiative offers non-credit classes and IT Certificate training. In 2003, Brookdale launched the NJ Coastal Communiversity program to offer bachelor and masters degrees to students. The courses are offered in partnership with Georgian Court College, Kean University, Montclair State University, New Jersey City University, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

The [http://www.njccc.org/njstars.htm/ New Jersey Stars] program allows the top 20% of high school graduates free two-year tuition for matriculated students while attending a community college in New Jersey. The program has extended into NJ Stars 2 which provides a partial scholarship towards New Jersey four-year universities.

Alpha Pi Theta, Brookdale's Phi Theta Kappa chapter enables students to graduate with honors and seek numerous scholarships when transferring to four-year universities. All students who complete their first semester with a GPA of 3.7 or higher are invited to join PTK.

Forensics, Brookdale's award winning speech and debate team competes internationally annually. They consistently compete well against top four-year universities on the East Coast, competing in speaking events such as After Dinner Speaking, Informational Speaking, Persuasion, Prose, Program Oral Interpretation, Duo, and other limited prep events.
