Black Sun Ensemble

Black Sun Ensemble is an Arizona, USA based psychedelic rock band, led by Jesus Acedo and most active during the 1980s. Their records had gone out of print during the 1990s with existing copies selling high prices on eBay [http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Music/Content?oid=44286] but have been reissued in the early 21st century. Black Sun Ensemble can be seen as an important precursor to the current psychedelic rock revival indicated by the New Weird America movement and the popularity of styles such as freak folk, psych folk and The Jewelled Antler Collective.
