Through Struggle is the second single from the metalcore band As I Lay Dying's third album "Shadows Are Security". There was a video made for the song as well. The video switches between the band performing the song in a small room (while giving a perfect example of their trademark synchronised headbanging) and a hermit-like man painstakingly working on some sort of mechanical device. He also occasionly watches the band perform from an air-vent. As the song reaches it last few seconds, we discover what the man has been working on - a mechanical heart. He removes the smock he has been wearing to reveal an enormous hole in his chest. As the heart begins to beat, an EKG monitor - which has been still throughout begins to spike. The song then concludes.
