Amos K. Hadley

Amos K. [The middle name is given as Kinne, Kinny or Kinney, but it is impossible to ascertain which is the correct one without seeing the original records.] Hadley (October 12, 1812 Waterford, Caledonia County, Vermont - 1901) was an American lawyer and politician.

Life

He was the son of Stephen Hadley (1777-1861) and Sarah Cushman Hadley (1780-1867).

He graduated from Hamilton College. Then he studied law with Judge John P. Cushman in Troy, New York, and was admitted to the bar in 1843.

He was a member from Rensselaer County of the New York State Assembly from 1847 to 1849, and was Speaker in 1848 and 1849.

He was buried at the Claverack Cemetery in Claverack, New York.
