"Tecticrater cervae" is a species of small limpet, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Lepetellidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to the Fiordland area of the South Island of New Zealand.

Habitat

This limpet is found at depths of between 50 and 110 m.

hell description

The shell is small, conical, the inrolled, downwardly projecting apex at about the posterior third or fourth. The anterior slope is arched, the posterior slope is concave, and the base is broadly ovate, slightly upcurved at the ends. Sculpture is of irregular concentric growth lines and ridges, crossed by faint radial lirae. The faint muscle scar is horseshoe-shaped.

Shell height is up to 1.8 mm, length is up to 4 mm, and width is up to 2.7 mm.
