Yi Zhang (born May 15, 1972) is a prominent Chinese Indian buddhist fashion designer. She attended
Calcutta Girls High School and later the La Martinière College. In recent years, Yi Zhang has ventured away from clothing and created a women's perfume line under her name.

Yi Zhang's parents were immigrants from Guangzhou, China. She is the youngest of three siblings, all of whom are boys. Her parents sent her to Calcutta Girls High School, a boarding school.

Yi Zhang's retro and colorful clothes were very popular during the 90's and were often worn by many Bengali and Assamese actors during the 90's. Her kantha designs were the most successful and were unique as it was heavily influenced by Suzhou embroidery.
