Mosetse

Location of Mosetse

Mosetse is a village in Central District of Botswana. It is located along the road from Francistown to Nata. The population was 1,661 in 2001 census.^[1] Mosetse lies along the Mosetse River, which ultimately discharges to the Sua Pan, a part of the Makgadigadi Pan.^[2]

The first chief was a man called Nfila, who came to the village as an agricultural demonstrator. the current chief is Kebailele Polokakgolo. the village population is expected to have increased due to the discovery and opening of a copper mine in the village. perhaps with that, the village which has been underdeveloped, will have some developments like a second primary school and a clinic.

Mosetse people the village consist of bakalanga and basarwa. Mmusi is one of mosetse residents schooling at university of Botswana most of the people rely on subsistence agriculture. natives include the Kehitile family which migrated from Tutume village led by Kehitile Madubeko. Lesley Tibabo kehitile is one of the graduates from Mosetse village
