Homerism

Homerism can refer to:

*the miming of scenes from Homer's epics, common in Greek and Roman era pagan festivals, along with other displays of virtuosity such as juggling, acrobatics and trumpet blowing.
*a new figure of speech named after the cartoon character Homer Simpson, denoting an expression that reveals more than the speaker intended.
