King George Tower is a proposed skyscraper set to rise in Surrey, British Columbia near the King George Station. [Cite web|title=Proposed New Westminster and Surrey developments promote "transit village" concept?|url=http://www.rabble.ca/babble/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=001367|publisher=babble|accessdate=2007-12-16] At a height of Unit m|274.3|0 with 81 stories, the mixed-use building will be signifcantly taller than any highrise building in Surrey, the Vancouver area and Western Canada.Cite web|title=King George Tower|url=http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=kinggeorgetower-surrey-canada|accessdate=2007-12-16|publisher=Emporis.com] Cite web|title=Towering plan set for Surrey|url=http://www.canada.com/vancouver/vancouversun/soundoff/story.html?id=c0cc3f8b-667e-4877-b6b8-4e98ff2eb45e&p=1|accessdate=2007-12-16|publisher="Vancouver Sun"|date=2005-10-27|first=Lori|last=Culbert] The skyscraper will also have the most floors of any building in Canada, exceeding the 72 floors of the First Bank Tower in Toronto. However, due to the proposed height of the project, there is concern that the skyscraper may interfere air traffic heading to Vancouver International Airport.
