Robert G. Abboud (born 1956), American politician, is the Democratic nominee for ushr|Illinois|16| () of the United States House of Representatives in 2008. The incumbent is Republican Donald A. Manzullo.

In 2001, Bob Abboud was elected as Barrington Hills Village Trustee, and in 2005 was elected President. Because the Village is in four counties, Abboud's experience includes working with all levels of local government, including County Boards, municipalities and the Illinois State government in Springfield, providing knowledge of local and legislative issues.

Abboud was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and moved with his family to Barrington Hills when he was four. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University. He was accepted into the United States Navy Submarine Nuclear Weapons program, but chose to serve his country by supporting energy/advanced nuclear reactor development at Argonne National Laboratory. He earned his Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Northwestern University, and for 20 years he worked for ComEd as a Senior Nuclear Engineer. He currently runs RGA Labs, Inc., his own consulting, research-and-development, design and engineering firm.

He is the son of A. Robert Abboud, the former chairman of First Chicago Bank that merged with Bank One and ultimately was acquired by Chase Bank.
