Stephanie Dosen

Stephanie Dosen

Stephanie Dosen is an American singer-songwriter. She was raised in Wisconsin. Her songs have been featured on the soundtracks of "Dawson's Creek" and "Party of Five".

In 2006 Simon Raymonde, the former member of the Cocteau Twins who runs the Bella Union label, heard Dosen's music and as a result they worked together on the music that became Dosen's album "A Lily For The Spectre". The album was recorded in Kentucky and North Wales and was then released in the UK and Europe. Since then, Dosen has appeared on the BBC TV programme Later... with Jools Holland and on the Australian TV rock quiz entertainment show Rockwiz, and has worked with Massive Attack. Her collaboration with Jose Gonzales for the iTunes Festival was recorded in Feb 2008.

Stephanie joined Massive Attack as a lead vocalist in June 08 and made her debut at ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL in London performing 2 sell out shows as part of the band's MELTDOWN FESTIVAL. The Glastonbury performance was made special by the highlights shown on BBC Three including Stephanie's mesmerising version of 'Teardrop'. The new songs 'Red Light', 'Marakesh and 'Kingpin' have all fast-become popular with the european audiences on the summer 08 tour.
