- Recognition of same-sex unions in Cuba
Cuban law does not currently recognize same-sex relationships, and the Cuban Constitution reserves marriage only for men and women. However, the National Assembly of Cuba is currently debating a number of proposals to include the legal recognition of same-sex relationships in the country's Family Code. If all the reform proposals are accepted, same-sex couples may soon enjoy all the same rights and privileges of opposite-sex couples, including inheritance and adoption.
