Good old days

Good old days

Good Old Days is a cliché. It was coined by a 69-year-old former mayor of New York named Philip Hone. American popular culture, particularly through sound recordings of the country music genre, has established certain traits about it:

*Nostalgia
*Christianity
*Greed
*Conformity
*Conservatism
*Right-wing politics
*Absolutism
*Consumerism
*Camping
*Sport hunting
*Sport fishing
*Taxation without representation

----
*Good Old Days is also the name of the instrumental theme song for the "Our Gang" comedies, now known as "The Little Rascals".
*"The Good Old Days" was a UK television series recreating Victorian music hall variety.
*The Good Old Days is also the name of a song by UK band "The Libertines" on their album "Up the Bracket".
