I Know You Got Soul (book)

"I Know You Got Soul" is a non-fiction book, first published in 2004, written by British journalist and television presenter Jeremy Clarkson. In the book, Clarkson puts forward candidates for charismatic machines and structures that he believes are held in special affection by people, almost to the point of having a soul. Each machine noted and listed is described generally to have been made with care for performance. Each machine is the subject of an essay, where the history of the machine is recalled and Clarkson explains why he thinks it is special.

In 2004, Clarkson appeared on the British talk show "Parkinson" to talk about the then-upcoming book. He cited the 2000 Concorde crash as the inspiration for the book, noting that as well as feeling sadness for the victims, he had felt sad that the machine had been destroyed.

The chapters of the book treat the following machines and structures as being as 'soulful':
* Concorde
* the latest Rolls-Royce Phantom
* Riva Aquarama
* "Millennium Falcon"
* Flying boat
**In particular the Short Sunderland and Saunders-Roe Princess
