In 1965, after playing with several Montreal groups, Jurgen Peter joined up with
Bob Burgess (vocals),Al Birmingham (guitar),Glenn Holmes (bass), andPeter Symes (drums) to form The Haunted.The band's first big break came after winning a
Battle Of The Bands at theMontreal Forum . the prize was studio time that they used to record the two songs on their first45rpm , "1-2-5", with "Eight O'Clock In The Morning" as the B-side. self-titled LP over the next two years, which served to increase their popularity.By the time the band broke up in

The Album
The Haunted became very popular in Quebec and Ontario and some parts of the U.S. An album was demanded. "The Haunted", their only alum was released on Trans-World records in 1966 with catalog number 6701. The album includes nine tracks. Today, their self-titled album is worth a small fortune, averaging in the $1000 area.
