Ecstatica anaction-adventure game for PC that was released byPsygnosis in 1994. The game was released onCD-ROM in 1997 for theWindow 95 .Plot
The story follows straight after the prequel ended when the Nameless Traveller, who turns out to be a Prince in an unnamed country, rescued Ecstatica from the doomed town of Tirich. The Prince return back to his kingdom together with Ecstatica planning to get married only to find out that his castle had been savagely pillaged and plundered and his people been brutally massacred by demons,
goblins and humanbarbarians . Just as they arrived at the drawbridge, a winged demon flew by and kidnapped Ecstatica while the Prince was knocked unconscious by another winged demon. Only to wake up and realized he been put into the castlespillory , however the Prince was revitalized and set free by a mysterious female voice and urged him to defeat the evilArchmage to restore the balance of the world by restoring the 7 Elder sign and on the same time to rescue his beloved Ecstatica from the Archmage before being used as a sacrifice...Game play
The game remain the same as
Ecstatica , with improvements on the game control and theEllipsoid graphic has been updated with better details. The play area is much more larger than the prequel and the game play is free roaming and exploration around the surrounding castle and also the enemies re spawn after a certain time period although they are easier to kill than it predecessor.The Prince can pick up various swords with different strength and reach. Also this time the Prince can use magic attack against his foes by either equip himself with a staff or learning it thru scrolls.
