The music of Balochistan is very rich and full of varieties. It stems from Persian, but has strong influences from South Asia.

Types of Music

epad

The word Sepad means praise and are a series of melodies sung after the birth of a child.

habtagi

Hymns sung after birth of the baby for the good health of the mother and child

Vazbad

Similar to Sepad and Shabtagi

Zayirak

Are songs which are sung during difficult times (i.e war, separation, death) and is the most melancholy Balochi form of music
