Bara-lacha-la , a highmountain pass connectingLahaul district inHimachal Pradesh toLadakh inJammu and Kashmir . It is about 2 km downhill from the pass on the Himachal side, just by the side of the highway and is a feast to the eyes for its emerald blue water amidst the snow-capped mountains. The Bhaga River (a tributary of the
Chandrabhaga or Chenab) originates from Suryataal. The other major tributary of the Chandrabhaga, the Chandra originates from the glacier close to theChandra Taal lake in theSpiti district.External links
