Heine Havrèkke

Heine Johnsøn Havrékki or Heine Havrékke or Heine the shipreckt(1514 in Bergen, Norway–1576 in Radøy Norway) was a Norwegian emigrant on the Faroe islands, he was a new follower of the Lutheran church and he was the first Lutheran priest in 1540 on the Faroe islands. He landed on Nes Eysturoy.

He was the son of the Icelandic catholic minister Jon Haraldson (*1480-?)

Havréki was the father of Løgmaður, Jógvan Heinason (1541-1602) and the well known Naval Hero and Privateer Magnus Heinason (*1545-1589) that in his life would serve king Frederick II of Denmark and Norway, and Maurice of Nassau, Prince of Orange the Prince of Netherlands, in the Anglo-Spanish War where Magnus fought the Spanish.

Early life

Heine Havrékke, and other Students where planining to go to Iceland but where corth up in bad weather and lamded as ship recked with no ship in the Faroe islands on Nes on Eysturoy and here he meet the Faroese woman Herborg of Húsavík (15??-1542) and they got the son togheter Jógvan Heinason and a Daughter Herborg Heinadottir (*1542-15??)and Heine Havréki's wife Herborg of Húsavík dies and Heine travels back to Norway and ´married a Norse lady c. 1544 Gyri Arnbjørnsdatter and they had the son Magnus Heinason in 1545. In 1566 Heine Havréki travels back to Norway to start up a Protestant church in Radøy.
