Umbra Software Ltd. is a graphics software technology company founded 2005 in Helsinki, Finland. Umbra Software is the expert in visibility optimization. Umbra providers visibility optimization middleware for games on PC and console platforms.

History

Umbra Software was spun off from Hybrid Graphics in 2005. Umbra Software acquired Hybrid Graphics' dPVS and continued its development. Umbra Software's most recent product Umbra, hardware accelerated occlusion culling middleware, was released in September 2007.

sPVS is software occlusion culling preprocessing middleware for PC, GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation 2.
