Divisional Public School & College is a school in Sahiwal, Pakistan. The school was established in 1986 in a rented bunglow and it shifted to its present campus in 1988. the major aim was to provide standard and quality education to the students of Sahiwal and adjoining areas. It is a semi-government school. Lt.Col.Muhammad Arif Chohan was the founding Principal. Syyed Tajjamul Abbas was the first chairman of the school.

Campus

The School comprises large area. It has a single campus which further consists of four sub-campuses:
* Nursery Campus - nursery and kindergarten classes
* Junior Campus - preparatory to 5th grade
* Senior Campus - boys from 6th to 12th grade
* Girls Campus - girls from 2nd to 12th gradeDue to separate campuses for boys and girls there is no co-education. The Girls and Senior Campuses have their own libraries and science laboratories (physics, chemistry, biology and computer). There is an exclusive mosque and a multipurpose hall which is under construction. The school also owns a 64-seat bus.

Housing

The students were divided have been divided into four houses:
* Jennah House
* Johar House
* Sir Syed House
* Iqbal House
* Qasim House
* Tipu House

Co-curricular activities

Every year the school organizes co-curricular activities in the form of interhouse competitions. The competition activities include a Naat and Qirat competition, debates, declamation contests, games and athletics.

The Management

Currently BRIG RTD ANWAR UL HASSAN KIRMANI is he principal of the institution. Mr Raffiq is the head of senior campus, Miss Sarosh Zia is the head of girls campus. the senior faculty includes Mr Mian Muhammad Akmal cordinator board classes. Mr Javed and Mr ROa Tanveer.All the teachers are hardworking and devoted and they knows how to control a class.

The Interruption Of District Nazim Rai Hasan Nawaz In School Matters

SAHIWAL, June 13: The Divisional Public School principal has refuted charges that he embezzled any school funds, saying a false case was registered against him in this connection.

Principal Col Arif Chauhan (retired) alleged at a press conference here on Saturday night that the district Nazim had taken action against him in revenge for his refusal to appoint some women teachers in the school.

He further alleged that former Sahiwal deputy commissioner Raja Hasan Abbas had withdrawn Rs4 million from the school accounts. The office superintendent, Badar Amir, was appointed an accounts clerk on Dec 15, 1994, by the then deputy commissioner, Masood Ahmad Shah, and soon elevated to the rank of office superintendent.

Badar embezzled Rs1.3 million from school funds, the principal alleged, adding a written complaint was filed for registration of a case against him. Since taking over as chairman of the Sahiwal Divisional Public School and College, the district Nazim had withdrawn one million rupees from school funds to establish another 'Divisional' Public School in his hometown of Chichawatni.

The Sahiwal school accounts were maintained in a government bank from where the district Nazim transferred Rs25 million to a bank in the private sector to favour a manager

Achievements

The School Is producing excellent results since it was established.In 2008 its achievements are Zubair Hassan Bodla won over all first position in District by securing 793 / 850 marks in Matric Exams. Adeela Munir won first position among girls in district by securing 792 / 850 marks in matric exams. Taha Hasan won over all first position in district in intermediate exmas by securing 999 / 1100 marks. In 6th class in the year 2007 in A section Shehryar Naeem got 1st position.In B section Ahmad Hassan got 1st position.In C section Hassan Qamar got 1st position.In D section Absar Saeed got 1st position.Among all sections, Shehryar Naeem got 1st,Ahmad Hassan got 2nd,Absar saeed 3rd and Hassan Qamar 4th POSITION.
