"Baeolidia major" is a species of small sea slug or aolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Aeolidiidae.

Distribution

This species lives worldwide in tropical and subtropical waters. The type locality is Zanzibar, Africa.

Description

This is a most colourful aeolid. Its cerata are brown with whitish oval spots, ringed near the tips in crimson and light blue. The oral tentacles and rhinophores are orange, and the oral lobes are pale blue.

The length is up to 32 mm.

Life habits

This nudibranch feeds upon the anemone "Cricophorus nutrix".
