Theodor Broch

Theodor Broch (27 January 1904 – 26 April 1998) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party.

He was born in Oslo. He graduated as cand.jur. 1928, and worked as an attorney in Oslo from 1929 to 1930. At that time he had been a writer for "Mot Dag" from 1923 to 1930. From 1930 to 1940 and 1945 to 1950 he worked as an attorney in Narvik. He then became chief administrative officer ("rådmann") in Tønsberg, stying in that position until 1973.

He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from the Market towns of Nordland, Troms and Finnmark in 1945, but was not re-elected in 1949. On the local level Broch was mayor of Narvik in the periods 1934–1937, 1937–1940 and 1945–1946.
