Sir Arthur Haworth, 1st Baronet

Sir Arthur Haworth, 1st Baronet

Sir Arthur Adlington Haworth, 1st Baronet (22 August 1865-31 August 1944), was a British Liberal politician.

Haworth sat as Member of Parliament for Manchester South from 1906 to 1912 and was created a Baronet, of Dunham Massey in the County of Chester, in 1911. In February 1912 he was appointed a Junior Lord of the Treasury by Prime Minister H. H. Asquith. However, when he sought re-election to Parliament following this appointment he was defeated by the Unionist candidate Philip Glazebrook. He never returned to the House of Commons.

Haworth died in August 1944, aged 79.
