Elite Hurdle

Elite Hurdle

The Elite Hurdle is a Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race in the United Kingdom open to horses which are four-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 2 miles (3,219 m) at Wincanton Racecourse, and it takes place annually in November. It is a limited handicap, and there are eight hurdles to be jumped.

The race was first run in 1992 over 2 miles and 110 yards (3,319 m) at Cheltenham Racecourse, and it was transferred to its present venue in 1994. Prior to 1998 it was run as a conditions race.
