Andrew Forbes

Andrew Forbes (born in Chester) is an English actor and writer. Brought up in nearby Frodsham, he attended Helsby Country Grammar School and studied drama at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating in 1978.

His most recent appearance was in August/September 2007 as Clive Harris in Hollyoaks. On TV, he has also appeared in Bad Girls, "The Courtroom", "The Cry", "Keen Eddie", "Starhunter", The Bill, "Dr Who", "The Hello Girls", Birds of a Feather, The New Statesman, Lovejoy, "A Vote for Hitler", "Strike it Rich", "Supergran", "Don’t Wait Up", Bergerac, and "Shoestring". He has appeared in the films "Incognito" and "Duel of Hearts". In theatre, he has appeared as Colonel Calloway in "The Third Man" for Red Shift Theatre Company, Billy in "The Real Thing" in the West End, Nicky Lancaster in "The Vortex" for Manchester Library Theatre, Rupert Asprey in "A New Adam & Eve" for Basingstoke Haymarket, Orsino in "Twelfth Night" for the English Theatre, Hamburg, as well as seasons with Theatr Clwyd, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, York Theatre Royal, and the Kent Repertory Company.

In 2006, he guest starred in the "Doctor Who" audio adventure "Night Thoughts".

As a writer, he has written episodes of "Doctors" for the BBC and the play "The Calling" for The Green Room Theatre Company.
