affiliations =WTSJ (1320 AM) is a
radio station broadcasting aNews Talk Information format toRandolph, Vermont , United States. WTSJ is a simulcast withWEAV (960 AM) fromPlattsburgh, Vermont . The stations are collectively known as "960 AM The Zone". AM 1320 gets very little mention on-air except for the legally-requiredstation identification . While the WEAV signal provides coverage for the Burlington / Plattsburgh market, the WTSJ signal serves the local Randolph / Bethel area, which is roughly in between White River Junction and Barre with 1000 watts of daytime power. At 66 watts at night, the signal barely covers Randolph. The station is currently owned by Vox Communications. Thecallsign WTSJ formerly belonged to 1050 AM inCincinnati, Ohio , now known asWCVX .The 1320 signal signed on as the original WCVR and had some form of a country format for a long time. In 1987, the station changed its call letters to WWWT (occasionally referred to as "3WT"; the WCVR call letters were retained on its co-owned FM, where it remains today). 3WT, in between simulcasts of WCVR-FM, featured formats such as satellite
adult contemporary , satelliteoldies , and finally broken away for good with simulcasts of its former co-owned Clear Channel sister stations, first withWSYB in Rutland, and in the fall of 2006 withWTSL inHanover, New Hampshire , at which point the WTSJ call letters were adopted (the WTSJ call sign matched up well with WTSL, as well as WTSM in Springfield (nowWEEY inSwanzey, New Hampshire ). Clear Channel subsequently sold WSYB to Pamal Broadcasting, WTSL was sold to Great Eastern Radio, and WTSJ to Vox Communications (who converted the station to the WEAV simulcast; at that time, WEAV was itself a simulcast withWXZO ). The WWWT call sign later resided on 1500 AM inWashington, DC (nowWFED ).External links
