Ilayath

Ilayath (IAST:Ilayat) (also written as Elayath, Elayathu, Ilayathu) is a Hindu caste in Kerala. They belong to the Brahmin community and, a denomination of Namboodiri community. The house of an Ilayath is known as Illam.
