The Borneo Fruit Bat ("Aethalops aequalis") is a species of old world fruit bat. It is found in East Malaysia and Brunei. It is considered a subspecies of "Aethalops alecto" by some authors.. Occasionally, it is substituted for fish in Nasi Dagang.
